So what about about Wollombi ?

Getting to Wollombi via the Cessnock Shire roads is definitely an experience to be remembered and avoided in the future. Even the locals claim that they have the worst roads in Australia.
The Burrow at The Tavern

We arrived and nestled in behind the Tavern to be greeted with a thunderstorm just after a chance for a quick drink at the bar.

After a wet night we awoke to a foggy morning which cleared to a fine few hours which gave us a chance for a walk around the village and a stroll to a local winery, where we sampled their wares.

OurSculptures in the vineyard second afternoon caved in to another thunderstorm and any chance of a Neil Diamond Tribute concert took a dive.

A helicopter flew in took a look and nicked off. Campers around us were drenched and we were very happy to be in the dry. A brief respite enabled another trip to the bar and then into bed for an early departure for Sydney.

Well here we are in Sydney after dodging 312 bikies on the back roads to the highway. The Burrow has travelled well from Wollombi but we noticed a wheel alignment issue with it on pulling in to The Poplars here at Camden, so will need to get that checked, hopefully tomorrow.

More to follow on The Journeys of The Burrow.
